Appliances are not bulk in Greensboro. The city collects them free by appointment on 336-373-2489. Remove or secure the doors and take all the food out first. The city does not say anything about refrigerant, so ask when you book.

  • For something bigger, like a dismantled shed, you can ask for a supervisor to look at it and quote a fee on 336-373-2489.

  • Out by 7am on your collection day, which is the same day as your recycling, every other week.

What Greensboro does not say

Greensboro publishes no answer for whether the refrigerant in a fridge matters, or who removes it, whether a mattress has to be bagged or wrapped, roofing shingles, propane tanks and gas cylinders, the earliest you may put things out, only that they must be out by 7am, or any penalty for getting it wrong. Ask them directly if it matters to you.
